Erika's fascination with beauty and character transformation in the movie industry is one of her reasons for pursuing a career in makeup artistry and hair. Driven by her passion of becoming a professional Makeup Artist was what led her to the school of Makeup Designory in NYC in 2007 where she received a certification in Beauty/Avant Garde makeup. Since then Erika has worked as a freelance makeup artist for runways, NY fashion week, photo shoots, entertainment shows and Halloween events and completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology as well as worked a full time job in the medical field. For several years she contemplated with the idea of being a full time Makeup Artist and adding special effects and hair to her craft. She came to realize the only thing that felt rewarding and purposeful was to follow her dreams and expand on her education in the industry. Erika is officially a licensed Cosmetologist and has earned additional certifications in special effects and sculpting through the school of Makeup Designory.
